First, we’ll evaluate your system control hardware and software and replace them with more efficient versions if necessary. Next, our team will install the latest high-efficiency light fixtures throughout your grocery store. Finally, we’ll use energy-efficient light emitting diode (LED) bulbs wherever possible. These three retrofits will work together to drastically decrease the amount of energy your lighting systems use. For example, one of our grocery store clients achieved a 70 percent increase in store light levels while also reducing energy usage by 40 percent after their retrofit.
Medium temperature case door installation is the second service we offer that can help reduce the energy usage of your store. Adding doors to these cases offers benefits that include keeping more cold air in the cases, reducing workload on case equipment and reducing the energy used by each case. However, adding doors isn’t the only action we’ll take as part of this service. We’ll also calculate new electrical load parameters for your cases and ensure that these new settings are implemented in your systems. In addition, our team will add compressor capacity load shedding capabilities to your medium temperature refrigerated cases. All these changes will help to dramatically reduce the amount of electricity being used by your medium temperature cases.
