The Energy Management Department at a major supermarket chain located in the Southeast set goals to reduce the utility expense line through deploying new technologies and solutions in their stores. With this in mind, CoolSys Energy Solutions engineered a lighting design to provide MORE LIGHT and BETTER LIGHT, while at the same time LOWERING ENERGY and MAINTENANCE EXPENSE. After reviewing the project financials, the client contracted with CoolSys for a turnkey installation of the proposed design.

At the completion of the project, the sales floor lighting levels increased by over 70% while the energy consumption dropped 40%! This ENGINEERED SOLUTION provides an enriched shopping experience where customers experience superior lighting levels, a light spectrum closer to that of natural sunlight, and improved product visual presentation. The LED’s installed in the cases further enhanced the customer’s perception of colors and provide the needed contrast to make the product “pop”.
